Welcome
Welcome to the Oxford University Conservative Association (OUCA). OUCA was founded in 1924 and is not only one of the oldest student political organisations in the country but with a current membership of over 650 is one of the largest.

Dear Members, Welcome to what is sure to be an exciting and stimulating Trinity Term for OUCA. The Oxford University Conservative Association is an Association with a gloriously rich history – founded in 1924, it has witnessed several of its ex- presidents ascend to the leadership of the Party, and to the premiership of the Nation. With a membership of almost 700, OUCA is undoubtedly one of the largest, oldest, and most prominent student societies in the world, and it is my great pleasure and privilege to serve it in my capacity as President. This term we are lucky enough to be hosting some extremely exciting and dynamic speakers, such as Michael Howard, Viscount Monckton and John Redwood, with others to be fully confirmed, alongside some fantastic social events, such as going to Winchester house club to watch the Boat Race, a Garden Party, a Free Spirits events in conjunction with the Freedom Association, a club night, and, of course, a magnificent Termly Dinner. In addition to all these, and, of course as well as our committed effort to getting local Conservatives elected to office, we will enjoy basking in the glory that is Port and Policy every Sunday evening at 8.30pm in the Macmillan Room, which is an event regarded by many as the most exciting night of the week, where one can enjoy stimulating debate, a superb flow of port, and great, often eccentric, company. Furthermore, in this the thirtieth anniversary of Margaret Thatcher’s ascendancy to Number 10 in1979, we will be celebrating the election of an Administration which took this country out of the doldrums, breathing new life into it and restoring the pride, freedom and prosperity previously robbed from us by successive socialist governments. Please explore the website for more information on our activities this term. If you have any questions about the Association or about any events or speakers, please feel free to contact me or another member of the committee. We look forward to hearing from you!
